Finding the Jobs

As in any field, the best way to find employment in salmon farming is to do some networking, and to be sure the people who might be hiring for the kind of job you want know who you are and have your resume on file. Campbell River is where the administrative offices of many companies operating salmon farms in BC are located. Contact information for producers and other BCSFA Members is available online.

Job postings are often found in the industry magazine Northern Aquaculture, which has an online edition at www.northernaquaculture.com. Its online jobs section is located at www.aquaculturejobs.com. Another online source for aquaculture employment postings and job finding links is in the classified section of the Canadian Aquaculture Industry Alliance website at www.aquaculture.ca.
